is a constant need for updated data. Our customer is one of the leading vendors
of hardware and software products in the UK. With Pi’s help, they are creating one
of the largest product databases which is high on quality, and is manually verified
by pre-sales personnel.
- About the Project
The project requires a large team of data researchers familiar with hardware and
software terminology and an eye for detail. The client provides data feeds from
many sources which need to be manually verified and then updated on the live system.
The interface requires each researcher to undergo extensive training.
A team size of more than a dozen data researchers ensures that a large volume of
data is checked and uploaded on the website on a LIVE basis. A significant effort
goes in to ensure high quality of work and accuracy of data, as the client’s sales
personnel uses this data for sales after the information is live.
- Solution
Pi Team handles 300+ IT products on a daily basis; this increases during the busiest
season i.e. in summer, when 500+ products are updated daily. Regular training sessions
ensure that the team has current information about all online software updates,
and changes in the customer’s system.
With more than six years of experience on this project, Pi’s customer treats the
team as a virtual office where they are able to send special instructions on a regular
basis for any kind of unusual data manipulation work.
