To develop a user manual for our client's e-Learning Management System (LMS).
About the Project
Our client required a comprehensive user manual for managing the administrative section of their e-Learning Management System. The document would serve as an important resource for the Administrator in the daily management of the e-Learning system. It would act as a guide for new users and explain the method of using the eLMS.
Solution
The Pi team begun by browsing the Admin site by using the login details provided by the client.
- The Pi team went through a training session with the customer team to understand the LMS features.
- Wrote the Admin manual and went through user testing to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Developed an interactive navigation system within the document for quick access.
- Collected screenshots from every section of the eLMS and then modified them to fit the proper sections in the manual.
- Incorporated a highly detailed Table of Contents (ToC) for effective organization. Instead of having to scroll through the document to get the information, readers would be able to go to the ToC and click on the relevant links.
The document started from the basics, e.g. 'How to Login', and then described each and every step sequentially.

Links were incorporated in the document to help the users view more information on a particular topic. Users can simply click the necessary links and go to the related documents.

The manual was developed within a very short period of time, and it was delivered after thorough reviewing, editing, and QA. It was designed in detail to function as an effective tool for maintaining the administrative section of the eLMS and help our client in the day to day management of the system.
