- Opportunity
Our client, a New York based medical resource provider, maintains a website which
is a comprehensive resource of detailed, valuable and accurate information about
Acne. The client’s requirement was to create and post a series of in-depth articles
and blog posts related to acne; and also brand reviews for the website. This would
help them create a niche in the acne products market.
We were also required to redesign their blog and add new features such as forum,
image gallery, drop down menu, and other Web 2.0 elements.
- About the Project
In order to create a comprehensive resource of valuable and accurate information
on Acne, the client requires a steady stream of fresh and extensively researched
articles and blog posts on a daily basis, in addition to other articles like brand
reviews. Further, our team also worked on redesigning the company’s blog according
to the following requirements:
- Featured posts on the front page
- Displaying variety of single posts from different categories
- Including a Video section
- Displaying tweets of Acne In Review
- Google news feed
- email subscription for feeds

We have designed and developed the blog using WordPress. Plug-ins have been added
for different functionalities. The following features have been implemented:
- A brand new theme so that all the features can be showcased properly.
- YouTube plug-in for WordPress has been used for displaying YouTube videos
- Google news feed plug-in for WordPress
- FeedBurner for e-mail subscription for the feeds.
- Forum plug-in for WordPress has been implemented and customized for the forum.
- Gallery plug-in for WordPress for the Image Gallery section of the website.
- The top menu can be controlled and customized by the administrator
- Twitter tools to display tweets
- We have also added other functionalities like popular posts, recent comments and
