Case Study : SEO services for a Leading Provider of Personalized Response Marketing and Web-To-Print solutions, UK, Ongoing

  • Opportunity
To optimize our client’s website to increase the traffic and improve its search rankings for targeted keywords.
  • About the Project
Our client is a leader in providing total response marketing and web-to-print solutions in the United Kingdom. They act as a total web-to-print communications providers for companies as diverse as L'Oreal, RE/MAX and Microsoft.

In spite of providing such high quality services, traffic to our client’s website was very low. The site was made up of heavy flash animations and images with JavaScript navigation and scrollers which made the website all the more unfavorable to the search engines.

    Our objective was to
    • rank the site for some moderate/ highly competitive keywords
    • increase the textual content in the site
    • remove duplicate page titles
    • insert META tags
    • rank the site within top 10 sites in Google for selected keywords
We increased keyword rich text on the site and revised the content to make it more search engine friendly. We then conducted a thorough keyword research and shortlisted keywords with high search volume and moderate competition. After selecting the keywords and the targeted pages, we created page titles and META Tags. For the images, we inserted unique ALT text as a way to plug in additional text.

The site only had Java Script navigation on the top of its pages and so we decided to introduce an alternative HTML navigation on the footer of the pages so as to provide a clear and “crawlable” navigation path to the search engine spiders. We also made an XML sitemap of MRM and submitted it to Google. Other optimization included directory submissions, reciprocal link exchanges and the application of social media into the link building campaign.
  • Solution
Within one month of optimizing the site, it showed up within the top 10 in Google for some of the moderately competitive keywords. The traffic to the site also rose steeply and the rise still continues. We are constantly working on the site to achieve even higher rankings.
  • Client Comments
Thanks. You’ve surprised me! I was somewhat skeptical about anyone’s ability to get us featured and it’s great to be proved wrong. Keep it going.
