To rank our client’s website for some moderate and some highly competitive keywords, and increase the number of visitors.
- About the Project
Our client is one of the leading Herbal Cosmetics product companies in USA. Their products are sold all over the world and are certified by recognized international organizations. Nevertheless, traffic on their site was very low.
We found that the home page of their website comprised heavy flash animations which made it unfavorable for the search engines. The entire site had very little textual content, with duplicate page titles and META tags.
We needed to put a lot of relevant content in the home page. The text had to be keyword rich as well as of high quality so as to satisfy the visitors. We got the necessary information from the customer and tweaked the content to make it more search engine friendly.
We researched the selected keywords to shortlist those that had high search volume and moderate competition. After selecting the keywords and the targeted pages, we modified titles and META Tags. We created titles in such a way so that they were keyword rich, non-spammy as well as enticing enough to attract clicks in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). As there were a lot of images on the site, we inserted unique ALT text within the images as a way to plug in additional text.
We also made an XML sitemap of and submitted it to Google.
This took care of the on-page optimization of the client’s website. The next thing on our list was off-page optimization; we needed to get more back links to the site for better search engine rankings.
Off page optimization included directory submissions, reciprocal link exchanges and the application of social media into the link building campaign.

Within one month of optimizing the website, it showed up within the top 10 search results in Google for targeted keywords. The traffic to the site also increased and it is still going upwards at a steady pace. We are continuously working on the website to achieve even higher rankings.
